On November 29 in Madrid, ICU Medical Technologies will present the advances of its KronoSafe project in the final of the Santander Spain Awards, Accelerate category
This week the finalists of the Santander X Spain Awards promoted by Banco Santander and organized with the collaboration of OXENTIA (Oxford’s Global Innovation Consultancy) have been announced. After winning the international edition of the Launch category last year, ICU Medical Technologies presents the novelties of KronoSafe® in the Accelerate category.
KronoSafe® is a medical device that will allow performe temporary cardiac stimulation safely and effectively, reducing complications and facilitating patient mobility. This will prevent ICU admissions, increasing the availability of ICU beds for other critical patients. The clinical and economic impact of the project will promote safer and more efficient health care.
One of the most important milestones in 2022 has been the clinical validation of KronoSafe®, publishing the clinical study results in the European Heart Journal. And now, ICU Medical Technologies has received authorization for the first multicenter study in which the Vall d’Hebron Hospital in Barcelona and the Dr. Balmis General Hospital in Alicante will participate (TEMPACE)
The Accelerate program seeks technology-based StartUps with potential for disruption and innovation, with the ability to scale their distribution. Due to the visibility, international exposure and mentoring provided, this program represents a great boost in the initial stages of a project.
